    Default Delivery from USA

    Not sure how it works getting something shipped over here from america would I have to pay extra on top of what the company quotes me because there from America or would it just be pay the company and wait for my wheels. The reason I ask as i've decide to get THESE after a lot of thought and have worked out that it will be a lot cheaper getting them from America if its just what the company charges me for shipping, as the prices over here are stupid.
    UK-£936.99 Wheels no tyres delivery
    US-£1047 Wheels & Pzero Nero's

    The price from US hasn't got delivery on it Im still waiting on a quote. But adding the price of 4 Pzero Nero's to the UK price it will be quite expensive.

    Edit: just got a quote from FEDEX for shipping £127

    I think you will be stung for inport tax. Something small can pass custom's without a problem. But your package is not at all small.
    Sorry to the bearer of bad new's. Those wheels do look realy cool by the way.

    That`s a dammm cheep FEDEX delivery...what a bargain mate.
    But careful with the import taxes as Shan said...can be quite large....maybe is worth to try to get an estimate on the charge before you order

    You'll be charged import tax (varies according to the particular type of goods) and VAT on them, depending on what value they declare on the paperwork.

    So Im I right in saying

    £1047+£231=£1278

    Then vat 17.5%

    1278x1.175=£1501.65

    Plus I think they add import duty before the vat so it would be slightly more expensive. This is all starting to add up now. The small saving may not be worth it, especially if I get cheaper tyres put on the the uk ones.

    Yes, they add Import Duty before VAT. Let me see if I can find out the Import Duty for wheels.

    The missus and her brother bought some Abercrombie T shirts mail order from he states. The price had more than doubled when they arrived and they ended up costing like £40/£45 per T shirt.

    Take it as lesson learnt.
