Coolant bottle

Taking a peek yesterday I noticed this, but not shure if this is the cause of my slowly coolant lose....
At the back of the bottle, near the cap there`s a plastic tubieee that seems to be there and intended to have a hose on(which it doesen`t), also at the bottom of the bottle theres a platic "clamp" for holding that posible missing hose. At first glance it looks like is kind of pressure release valve, do to its high position, but again it looks that it`s missing a hose....true? not? Could that be te responsable of the coolant lose?

deffo looks like there is a hose missing to me mate, get to the dealers and get it sorted.....

It's a bottle that is used in more than one model of Vxl, In the Vec it is a redundant connection and should be water tight and nothing to worry about. the staining is probably from coolant collecting at the blank end of the tube or "tubieee" as you call it. If it was a missing hose the bottle would empty in minutes with steam every where

I've just had a look, no tube on mine just plain top.

Mine looks the same as yours, no tube, and that's on a 3.2 V6 as well.

They sometimes leak where the join is, about halfway down the bottle, had to replace mine, 5 min job, sorted.
