    Default Entering Stressdom

Well, I officially put the house on the market this morning. Expect a stressed out p*ssed of Rob for a couple of months. Looks like we will lose the place we offered on at the weekend, but that'll teach me to get carried away! Anyone want a holiday home in Dunstable?? 1% discount for Vectra owners!

The thing that got me when we sold our last house was. When people had an oppointment to view our property...you spend time getting the house nice and tidy which is sometimes difficult with a little kid running wild...you sit there waiting for a knock at the door and keep looking at the clock. Then you realise these people ain't going to turn up, it really miffs you off.
We had this a few times, but if you stick with it...it'll all be worth it in the end. well apart from the grey hairs

I work from home which should make it slightly easier, get as many people viewing during the day as poss to keep the evening a bit more clear.

p.s - just seen a facelift signum in panacotta with 18's - looked amazing..

Well I wasn't sure either, Abyss tried to explain it... but ended up using words like yoghurt and cream. I can't explain it. I'll start a new thread and see if we can get some pics.

I feel for you- we are in week 4 of the house being on the market. Some people dont make much of an effort to 'present' a house for sale, we get the right smells, clean everything, tidy everything and offload the kid. And as said - it really pees you off when you get a no-show. Count to 10 and just think of it like an adventure.

One word of advice, get a decent estate agent (i know its a contradiction in terms!).

But the people who ended up buying our place said that the EA forced them to come around and look when they weren't even interested.

Hey presto, they ended up paying the asking price.

Well the firm I use is mostly made up of friends of ours anyway, so they go the extra mile and the rate is cheap and paid in pound notes on completion. My father owns an Estate Agency so we are not short of advice, although he's in a different town so he can't flog it for me for free!
