Default Put a deposit on a new car!!!

We have today been and put a deposit on a new car to replace the A3.

After owning it since new, I can honestly say that apart from it being very quick, even more so with the re-map and handles very well, it is the most un reliable badly built car we have ever owned.

We have been looking at mod sized 4x4's for a good while now and have decided to buy A Land Rover Freelander 2 - 2.2TD4 HSE. Looked at the Antara but the engine is flat as a pancake to be honest. The Freelander is in grey with tan leather and the spec makes my Signum look poor!!!

So we have put a depost down to hold the car, pending the trade in figure for the Audi.

    What do you reckon?

My bad, sorry Tony it's me age, it all don't work so well these days

Have you had a look at a Kia Sorento yet, I know not a prestige make but they do seem to be getting good reviews for towing.

You bought a Land-Rover to replace an unreliable car?!? I guess you're used to trips to the dealers anyway.

Very funny I know the old Freelander was not the best, but so far the write up's on the new one appear to be good, it also has the Mondeo ST TDCi engine, so this is not a bad thing either.

To be honest I never thought the Audi would be a peice of **** but it is.

The Sorento is a very good car, but quite a bit bigger than the Freelander, so that put us off, but we do like it though.

Don't like the styling of the Jap stuff t be honest, although I know they are very good.

never understood why everyone needs a 4x4, especially all those people who live in city's... but hey, I don't know where you live and if it needs to be a 4x4 I think you made the best choice. And a freelander in HSE-dress sounds real nice not really a plaything anymore

(by the way Kia is Korean, part of Hyundai...)
