There is a software-update for the UHP (the original Vx carkit) available. It's done on my Signum last week and works better now
There is better support for some phones, there are some minor layout changes, during a call you can see name, number and during time on the display ... But most important: filtering: the possibility of searching in the phonebook based on letters...

and I have the impression the incoming sound quality is better.

If your dealer does not know: it came with TIS 81a (april).

It took some time to install it : 15 min. to load the update on the Tech2 and another 30 min. to load the software into the car, and some hassle with the security code: after the upgrade "the car" wanted to know if UHP, CD70, CID, ECC were present...
Now I understand why so much dealers have problems with Tech2 (but the new Vectra/Aura/Insignia ?) will have a much faster cordless connection)
