camera questions ?????

i have recently been toying with the idea of buying a new digital camera, the one in particular that i have been looking at is the FUJI FINEPIX S6500, it has a 10.3 optical zoom and is 6.7 mega pix.

does anyone know anything about this camera, as at the min it is looking favorite and at a resonable price of £177.00 from asda.

cheer's D, as i thought the camera is a good one and comes quite highly recomended, but this is the killer question now................what do you think of it mate

Can't really answer m8 - I've never even picked one up let alone tried one out. That review is about as much as I know about it.

ok, but does it seem to be a good one then from the review it has had, in your proffesional opinion, or would it be too much for the pic's i want to take ????

I suppose the important question is what do you want to do with it? Just snaps?, or nice car pics etc. - what do you plan to use it for? (and don't say taking pics!! )

pic's of the kid's on holiday and the like, and for meet's and car pic's and car pic's oh and for pic's of mine and other car's at meet's too, basicaly my phone has been my camera for about 18 months now and just fancy something a little better and less quick snaps close up and more distance pic's

In that case I'd say it'll meet your needs more than adequately. It's got a good spec with decent wide-angle coverage (28mm) and decent apertures, good quality output etc. Some 'minus' points in the 'Conclusion' part of the review, but they're only going to be an issue for people wanting to use it for more advanced photography.

The main thing that I think may be an issue is if you are shooting on the 300mm setting, or close to it, you may need to make sure it's supported as opposed to hand-held as you may get some camera shake if the light isn't bright.
