    Default Wing damage

Hi, not been here for a while.. the missus was getting on my back as i spent too much time on here!! However, i need some help.. I came to my car earlier to find i've got a nice new dent on the wing (drivers side). I've popped the bonnet to see if i can push the dent back out but i can't get to it.. does anybody know how to get to it?

I'll be back shortly to post some pics... it's a 52 plate sxi.

    Thanks in anticipation.

Probably easiest to remove the wheel and the plastic liner from the wheel arch m8.
I take it that no-one left a note to say they had done it either

I'm not too sure when it happened, i didn't notice it this morning when i came to work.. i parked well out of the way and used two spaces today, can't see anything that may have caused it near the car and the car next to me is my bosses who would have said if he'd done it.

I have a problem at home though.. i recently moved to a house at the end of the road next to a large field.. kids often walk past and decide to throw things at the car.. the other night they threw a square board of wood at the bonnet.. got some nice scratches to polish out now.. they smeared mud all down on side of it a few weeks back when i parked it on the road outside and they had the cheek to come on to the driveway and smear ice cream all over the bonnet not so long back.

I've put up a cctv camera but i'm limited to 8hours recording at a time and i've yet to put up a motion activated floodlight so the camera can see at night. (It's supposed to have nightvision but doesn't work very well) I just hope they did it when it was light so i can find it on the dvd's... that's if it was the kids that did it..

Luckily it isn't scratched or creased so i'm hoping i can just pop the dent back out again.

I'll have a go at removing the wheel and lining when i get home and see what i can do with it. Check my pads while i'm at it, had the warning on for about 3 weeks now! lol

Looking at where that dent is, i think you'll struggle to push it out. Try Chipsaway type companies, they do dent removal dont they??

I was hoping i wouldn't have to spend anything.. but i can't leave it, it'll drive me crazy looking at it every time i get in the car. It's a shame we cant do the same thing as you do with ping pong balls when they get squashed.. bit of boiling water and it magically pops back out! lol

I forgot to mention in my last post.. some kid fell into the car on their bike not so long back too.. managed to get both doors with a nice long scratch! That's on the passenger side though so i never see it. The car will be needing an entire respray at this rate!!

Try the hairdryer and compressed air trick, it looks a nasty one though in the position it's in.
