Default Replacing Board Info Display (BID) with Color Info display (CID)

The CID has a second socket with 20 pins in addition to primary 32 pins socket. What is the meaning of this socket? Is the cable available in my car from ECU? My understanding was that the CID shall be connected to ECU through RGB cable. Is it true? What I should do to replace the BID with CID. I have CDC 40 Opera.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for your information.
    I've one more question.
Is there any possibility to connect a PDA to CID and CDC 40 Opera? I thinking that can be very interesting to see on CID the video output of the PDA or to connect a video receiver (DVB).

The link below presents a demo with a laptop connected to CID.

    Any comments. Thanks.

The guy from Hardwarekiller added other LCD entrance through several relays. I found that the CID includes a standard LCD so I can connect a RGB adaptor. I’m thinking why is not possible to use the 2’nd socket of GPS for Video input – RGB. My player doesn’t support the Navi, so the 2’nd socket of CID is unused. Does the CD NAVI player transmit the GPS images through a standard RGB cable to CID (2’nd socket)?
    Thanks.

I was looking into something like this. As I have a rear viewing camera, so I was thinking with the colour screen I can view the fuel figures (as on the nav), but then at the flick of a switch or reverse gear, the video from a RCA signal lead is displayed?

Also, does anyone have a wiring diagram for the normal display (I have the high res screen).

    Apologies for thread hi-jack!

    Cheers

EDIT: Just spotted above link by sig63, there is a diagram, but in german!

I came back after long time period. During this time I worked to implement the video interface for cid. Currently, I finished the interface and I'm going to attach it to CID. Also, I'm going to install a rear video cam and DVB-T.

The video interface has 3 composite video (CVBS) inputs where you can attach a rear video cam and other video devices.
I'll post for you several pictures. The video inputs are selected by a push buton.
