    Vehicle : Jaguar XF 3.0D V6

    Trim : Black

    Engine : 3.0D V6

    Year : 0000

Where you positioned the Tomtom unit?

Mines bottom of the A pillar, just above the dash. I have no problems with getting a signal.

Personally, I wouldn't like to have the aerial permanently on the outside, as it would be too attractive to any chav hanging around.

Like Brocks idea of 'hiding' it under the boot lid overlap area when not in use. But, if you 'suddenly needed' the Nav, then you'd be stuffed.

I was wondering if the unit would work tucked under the skuttle panel between the wipers. Then it would be permanently hidden, but permanently working. And the skuttle panel wouldn't block the signal, as it's only plastic.

I have my TomTom GPS Receiver screwed to the underside of the parcel shelf, I still get a great signal

You can just see the mount for it in the top right of this picture. The TomTom was taken out for valeting, but it is permanantly left in there and connected to a switched live so whenever I turn my engine on I always have my GPS up and running

    Cheers
