How much is it roughly to get the dealer to replace the rear brake pads? Mine are due to be changed and i'm not even going to attempt to change them myself!!

I bought front and rear disc and brake set from vx few weeks ago £65 for the pair so £130 + vat in total. Then got a local tyre garage to fit them at £60 cash
What a saving from vx labour charge.

A set of rear pads (per axle, not corner) won't set you back more than £25.00 tops. They're as easy as an easy thing to change. Have at look at GSi3.2's How 2 in the How2 section.

I got rear discs and pads for about £80 from the dealers

Fitted them myself and I know F*ck all about cars, it was just common sense. (plus using the rear pads how2 helped a bit )

Save your money and get stuck in. I borowed a windback tool off a mate, bought the torx spanner from halfords for 12.99 (E20) and done the whole job in under 2 hours.

Just pads will be a piece of ****, will take about 45 minutes.
