    Talking Smelly Rain!

How bizarre is this.. I've noticed that when I get in my Veccy and it's been raining the interior smells!

    Weird lol

(perhaps the most pointless forum post this month..apologies )

Indeed it is! well thats the nearest I can think to a descriptive term?

Is it a big job? It was an ar*e on my old Focus!

EDIT: Just found a nice how to ... now all I need is to decide paper or carbon lol and get the Vx part number/price

When you're veccy seems rather whiffy: -
    • check pollen filter as above
    • have a look under the floor mats/boot incase any water is coming in
There might be a "how to" for changing the pollen filter in the other forum
    edit: ah, you got it

...indeed there is, rather nice it is too

Think I'll give Vx a call and see how much it would set me back for a new one.

About a tenner for a replacement matey. Easiest job you'll ever do on the Vec C.

The discussion thread on the how-to mentioned a carbon one which seems better than the paper, is that the one to go for...?

Any idea how much our good friends at the local Vx would ask me for one? I'll go investigate fleabay to get an idea.

Run Dettol spray through the ventilation / AC system. Spray dettol near the passenger footwell, inside the cabin and run blower on recirc and AC on for a bout 5 minutes with doors closed. You need a good few pumps of dettol.

I recently used fabrize and it smells much better now.
