Had my seats fitted today at Classic Car Services in Leicester, I think they are superb (I've got a couple of niggles with headrests which I feel aren't quite right, the middle headrest in the back is completely different even though they were all the same to start with & the passenger front has a small tear where it was over stretched when fitting, but I hope CCS will sort them out watch this space). I've kept the original door cards as they are covered in the VX fake leather stuff, the new seats have matching overstitching & match near perfect, the seats were the ebay bargain of the year at £70 for the set, the retrim was carried out by Classic Car.
The old one's I took the back seats out so I would only have to bring the 2 fronts home, they fit in the boot
The original fronts, strange now but I thought these were quite cool at one time , note the temporary armrest
The rear seats gone in, easy shot with no drivers seat
The new and old together
The fronts after treatment with AG Leather Cream
The original Vectra bottom plastic didn't fit quite right as it was too big, Steve at CCS found this Mr Spoons can I join the VXRD club now
The VXR wheel in all its glory, its soooo soft & chunky
Got the wheel off e-bay from a 2005 Astra VXR
I'm very chuffed with the results of todays spending, the total cost including the seats, retrim, steering wheel & fitting was around £1200, about the same as VX used to charge for leather facings .
Now you've had a look at the pics & give me your thoughts please good or bad .
