    Default Rear Caliper Question

Right guys and girls I have a 2002 vectra 3.2 Elite.

My question is are all the rear calipers on the vectra "C" the same.

I need a replacement and think 2nd hand may be the only sensible (read affordable) solution.

I don't want the hassle of sourcing a replacment only for it not to fit.

    Thanks in advance.

I would have thought that the caliper might be bigger on the 3.2 but I am not sure. Perhaps phone a VX dealer and ask, then source a secondhand one when you know if they are the same. GSI 3.2 will be able to say for sure though.

Not all the calipers are the same - different ones for the two different size discs fitted to different models. You'll have 292mm ventilated rears as opposed to 278mm solid on other models

You want to make sure you get a set that have come off either a 3.2, 3.0 CDTi, 2.0T or a 2.8T as they all have 292mm rears.

I have been speaking to an independant vauxhall parts supplier but although he is keen to help he had said that he needs to know the number as there are a few type depending on whether it is sport spec etc etc.

Well I have looked on both my rear calipers and cannot see any part numbers only a GM , LH/RH and ATE which are cast into the moulding.

So my question is does anyone know for sure either the vauxhall number or the ATE number ?

    Thanks in advance.
