    Thumbs up Snowflakes refurb.

Well, Tuesday i'll be taking my Snowflakes in for their refurb.
I'm going the full monty and having them totally stripped to the bare bones, powder coated and re-painted in Platinum silver outside face and inner side.
I know i could just have them painted by a mobile refurber but it ain't the same standard of finish i'm looking for, so it's worth the extra £'s in my opinion.
I'll get some before and after pictures as "It's the law !!!" & give full details of what they did.

    Keep you posted !

Quite right m8, wheels can either make or break a car. Done correctly they will last too if looked after.

These are costing me £360 for the set (with the vat).
I know you can get them done cheaper, but you get what you pay for !
    19's cost more anyway.

I had a guy come out this morning to do mine.

Did the Faces, Edges, and rubbed them down, Painted and Laquered them, all for £150.

I know had i taken them to Pristine Wheels in Woburn Sands the job would have been better, but they were talking minimum of £272, that was without any repairs, and it was £30 per repair per wheel on top of that, so it could of ended up at £400 quite easily.

For what i paid today, i am well impressed.

I've only had my Vecy SRi 3 weeks and the first thing I got done were the wheels. Only 1 rim had some light scratches, the others were spot on but no one was prepared to polish them out or whatever.
Rather, all suggested a complete refurb of that rim, which meant getting them all done to have the same match. What a shame.

Anyway, I paid £160 all in from a car comestics place in Sunderland who came highly recommended from various sources. Left the car with him for 1 day and they did an excellent job, all 4 wheels are superb. Don't think they were down to the bare bones though but i'm happy either way.

But now i'm getting snowflakes next week from the Vx dealer (keep SRi's as spares possibly) and i'll be very happy with the kit on.

Sounds good. Thought about just getting the faces re-painted but they look tatty inside from baked on brake dust .

I had a 17" Laguna alloy repaired and painted that i'd curbed (buckle and metal/paint damage) and the paint match was exact. The refurbers know the manufacturers paint codes and the finish will be the same as the originals.
That wheel cost £80 all in, the bigger the wheel, the more £'s it'll cost.
