Car looks good mate. If you really want more power, take the mods off and part ex it for a gsi. Replace the mods and you got your motor back but with tonnes more power.
(Best mention the old oil burners as they shift as well)
what do you fancy instead?
If you fancy a new project I'd sell it privately as it is.
If you Part Exchange it, take all the mods off it first obviously
If you keep it and have the 'ching', get it supercharged. There's a guy on VS who has had his done by Courteney (although his is a Vec B). I wonder if Courteney want a project car!!!!!!!
Your mota looks that good, I'd go for the Supercharger.
Start a poll mate. (Just an idea).
I was looking at superchargeing mine, £3500 !!! It`s still on the shopping list though ....
I'm in the process of buying a Vec B SRi 2.0 16v for the wife. She's p'd off with the Frontera. I've got big plans for it!
cheers people, time to have a think....
once you start doubting your car its just a matter of time before you sell it. I'l trun it back 100% standard again and sell it but be prepared for a shock when you see how much people will payf for it. Its not much at all.
I regret selling my sri, but i also love my cdti elite. Just bought it at the wrong time 'mods wise', as were are on just one wage now, as the wife is on maternity leave till march.
It all depends how much cash you have to spend. If your just after more power, i'd keep your 1.8. Even if you had a gsi, after 6 months you'd be bored of that power too.
my first question before making any further comments is the same as Bruce's -
what do you fancy next?
Unfortunalty, Courtenay can't supercharge the 2.2 Vectra C at the moment. Due to the management already on the car, they have to find away around it on the C.
It'll come in time I am sure. But the Vectra B that Courtenays did was a work of art.
