Default 17" standard vs 19" snowflakes?

Anyone here changed from 17's to 19's with low profiles?

Just wondering whether there is much difference in the driving experience between the 17" and 19" alloys on the Vectra C?

Was thinking of getting a set to go with the VXR kit so it looks like the factory XP model.

I assume the 19's will go straight on, no modifying etc?

    Thanks

19s will go straight on as long as they are 5 stud, with a PCD of 110mm and an offset of betwen 35 and 42 (i think...)

I believe there are some small changes needed in the suspension system to put 19's on a car that has left the factory with 17's. Cars that came with 19's from the factory have the uprated part as standard.

Oh no, does anyone know anything about that? Is the drive any better, worse or the same? Cheers

Dont get me wrong mate, there are many people that have fitted 19's with no problem's at all. Im not sure what the part is but its just an uprgraded part due to the extra strain the 19's put on the suspension. Maverick has posted all about it in the past but I can't find his thread.

Much appreciated thanks. All I know is that they are 19" and 5 stud. They have 235/35 conti sport tyres. No clue about offsets, etc.

the ride is a bit harsh compared to the 17's but its not too bad. Very easy to love with imo. Wasn't it track rod ends or something?
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

I thought it was the steering rack - but I also thought that at the end of a long discussion, the upshot was that you didn't actually need to upgrade anything.
