    Default Ticking

I have a minor ticking noise from the drivers side B pillar on my '06 SRi. It's not very loud but constant in an irregular kind of way, but it's irritating being by my right ear. It's either the trim not fitting properly somwhere or something in the pillar itself. Anyone got any ideas what it may be or any cures? I don't want to jemmy off the trim as the airbag is in there somewhere .

Think we have the same issue....I first thought it was the pillar to or its trim. Bu I found out that is the window istself that cracks and ticks. Try this..open door and push window towards the outside of the car and the opposite push from the outside to the inside...can you hear the cracks and creeks?

Tried pushing the window on mine as you said and I didn't hear anything. I guess we have a similar sounding but different problem.

Still working on this, gets more annoying as time goes by . My current school of thought is that its the seat belt mech. Problem is I never think to go and try it while stationary . Maybe I'll remember to investigate tomorrow.

Hey Jim..I `ve been cheking my rattles to on the B pillar too...I discovered that the windows were one cause as I mentioned before...but also found that other crakkks can be heard on the area....unfortunately I think its the actual metal structure that makes the sounds with the torsions while in movement

Try some Comma silicon spray on the rubber seals at the top of the door. I used it on mine and the noise stopped instantly!

Sounds like a really good idea mate!..the seals that you refer too are the ones that seal the doors with the cabin or the window seals
    Thanks
