    Default Rear-wiper?

How easy is it to change the rear wiper from the older one to the newer flat blade one on the vectra c hatchback? Thanks

Don't do it mate, they are rubbish, it's a style gimmick, trad blades are better.

Very easy. Just pull the cap off, undo one nut and pull the wiper arm off. You might have to use something to lever it off if it's a bit stiff. Then just press the new one on, replace the nut and cap and you're done.

I beg to differ - I replaced mine because it gave very poor wiping. IMHO, the post-MY04.5 wipers are much better.

I got them on my Skoda as a standard fit, they judder and dont wipe at all well, and I noticed Skoda have now gone back to using traditional wipers again, plus the cost of the ripoff anyway.

Still each to their own, pays yer money takes yer choice

If you do decide to go ahead with it, you'll need a new wiper arm/blade.
Pull up the cover at the bottom of the wiper arm, unsrew the nut holding arm in place, then you'll need a 'bearing puller' to pull off the wiper arm, without putting any pulling force onto the glass and breaking it.

    Something like this is best.
Don't buy a cheap one off ebay because the gripping bits at the bottom are too fat, and don't grip underneath the wiper arm.
The one above it a good one to use.
Flat ones seem to be better in my experience so far.

both arm and wiper blade cost me £22 at the $tealer ...

looks a lot nicer, no issues with judder etc, keep the glass clean like ya do the front, my old arm came off no problem.
