Default VXR Styling Pack 1/XP Insurance

Does anyone have a Vectra-C with either factory fit Exterior Pack or aftermarket VXR Styling pack? Did it affect you insurance premium?
    Thanks

Don't think it's made a differnece to mine, I've had a quote for my vectra sri nav xp estate which will be brand new sept 1st and its £285 fully comp with swift cover, i have approx 20 yrs no claims and im 39.

Though it was a good price..

    Angry

Spoke to Direct Line and they quoted me an extra £115 for putting the exterior pack on. Cheeky gits!!!

Get this, they said if my car was brand new with XP, my premium would be the same as now i.e no extra for the mod.

    Time to change maybe.

If it's factory fit from new, you dont have to declare it. If it is put on after then you do have to declare. That was what I was told by Direct Line when I enquired about my bits and bobs.

As above - factory fit options shouldn't affect the premium.

If the car is not to spec it is not standard i.e my SRi has Irmscher spoilers fitted from new but the car is not SRi spec. I questioned this with my new insurance co and they said I am right to notify them & they shall note it but being factory options it is very unlikely to make any difference which it didn't.
However if your car is a SRi XP I guess that makes all the difference.
Even if you declare mods with online quote sites there is a box to tick for factory fitted optional extras.

I've just had a claim go through to repair the front bumper from a suicidle deer. The previous insurance co hadn't been notified I have a £230 Irmscher spoiler fitted to the front bumper. What do you think they'd of said if I tried to include that in the claim for a "standard" SRi? Some how I think they'd of told me what to do with a quote of £500 in parts just for the front bumper.

I declared the Snowflakes on mine as a factory option, didn't make a difference and they're detailed on my insurance certificate, which is nice.

    hi
i could not get a factory fit pack so the dealer put it on for me i told them about the kit and they said it made no change in money for the policy that was 6 months ago i have since had the seats retrimmed they also said no change but as soon as i asked if i could lower the car they said i had to go through a vauxhall dealer for fitment which costs the earth and would have to remortgage the house

Just out of curiosity, anyone here from the North East, who has a VXR Style pack one of XP fitted? Ain't seen any around, dealers havn't got any either to show me. Wouldn't mind seeing one if possible because Vx tell me my SRi has already got both side sills and rear lip spoiler so I only need the front/rear lower spoliers.
    Thanks
