Default where does the turbo live (1.9CDTi)

    Probably asking a daft question.....

The plumbing is so dense and access from engine bay poor, but is the turbo hidden behind the exhaust manifold?

I have spanner light and reduced power (next to no turbo effect, flat spot the size of lincolnshire, can't hear any turbo noise), could be EGR or wastegate solenoid, and wanted to check all hoses/ vac pipes for splits etc, as well as electrical connectors.

Also, am I right in that the EGR valve sits beside the radiator.

    Thanks

    Default

Which engine mate? if it's a DTi the turbo is on the rear of the engine under a heat shield looks like a dome.

The fault could be the air meter, the goes between the air box and the fuel intake, don't go wild guessing get a tech 2 on it and find whats causing it, if it is the meter it's an easy diy job.

    Default thanks

    Thanks

    It's a 1.9CDTI

It's been Tech 2'd and that pointed to excessive boost pressure with EML coming on if revved to above 3.5k revs in 3rd or above.

Thought it could be wastegate solenoid or EGR fault....

Just going to look for obvious things before back to Vx.
