    Thumbs up Hey Guys!

Hi to all you Vectra/Signum owners out there!

My name is Matthew, im 18 and from Hull in East Yorkshire.

Ive got a Vectra C 1.8 Club in flame red on a 52 plate and done 29,400 miles. Ive already got some mods planned for the car, although i bought it with the irmscher front bumper extension and rear spoiler. It also had the fuel cap cover which wasnt to my taste, but im worried that if i take it off i will either find a different shade of red under it, or ill wreck the fuel cap. It wasnt enough to put me off this fantastic car though.

Im currently studying Law at college, but in my spare time i work for Dixon Motors as a proffessional car valetor, which means that i can get some discount off a car. My car was on the forecourt at £7095 and i got it for £6123 with half a tank, 12 month tax and 12 months Network Q warrenty. A real bargain im sure you will aggree!

I will get some pictures of the car tomorrow as ive just picked the car up tonight and its too late and too dark to get some pictures.

Thanks for reading this and i look forward to talking to you all.

P.S look after that car CYB, It looks amazing mate.

    Matthew.

    Hi there Gary

Im sure you will agree with me when i say the 1.9 CDTi engine is one of, if not, THE best in the range. Ive driven a few at work and im always suprised at how quiet thay are. If i ever need a Diesel, ill will deffo be a veccy like yours mate. Good choice of mods as well!

Well thank you Matt. I do agree that the 1.9 CDTi takes some beating, some will disagree but no doubt Alex will be along shortly to back us up with his 193bhp example of the 1.9

    ABYSS,

ill no doubt be knocking around a place called Priory Park in the West of Hull, if you know where i mean. My Reg No. is YX52ZXO.

Im also going to print off some flyers and ask the vauxhall dealership if i could leave some on reception, like someone else on here did, cant remember the name though.

    GARY,

Ive noticed that the diesels also have such a smooth engine, when im driving these at work i sometimes forget that im driving a diesel, not good when a customer asks for his car to be filled up with fuel LOL!

    Matthew.

    Hiya Mat,

Even if when you remove the filler cap cover it's a dif colour you'll be able to bring the colour back with some cleaner or even just polish eh

    Bryan.............oh and I like red

    Hi Bryan

Thanks for your advice mate, i was thinking that if i did manage to get the cap cover off, im either going to be left with the glue stuff on the filler cap, or the dif colour. But if o take it off i might try machine polishing around that area, and maybe some t-cut, so it dosent stand out so much from the rest of the car.

Glad you like the colour as well!

    Mat.

Well I'd use a hair dryer.......that will soften the glue and it will come off easily

Also I would not use T-Cut..............I'd use Meguiar's ScratchX the reason is that the abrasives in T-Cut stay the same size and just keep cutting whereas the abrasives in ScratchX are what they call "deminishing abrasives" that means as you work it the abrasives gradually disappear, you sometimes need to do a couple of passes but that's what I'd use

    Bryan

PS I'd also just do it by hand as it's such a small area, and it's not a rotary is it as opposed to a PC or orbital?
