My personal opinion - Get an SRi CDTi 150. They have a lot of poke and good on fuel. I don't think the insurance group is too high either. As you probably know, they're easy to tune as well.
I am biased though. LOL
Remember to keep your bits to put on the new one.
If it were me I'd be going for either a 3.0 diesel or 3.2 petrol
Any of the diesels. Like AJA i'm biased but after you try one you will see why.
If you can live with very low 20's mpg then go for the 3.2 V6.
Personally i'm happy with the performance of my 1.9 CDTi (chipped of course) and high 40's mpg in everyday driving wins every time.![]()

It is horses for courses, try a few and find which suits your budget and driving style.
But I'm sure the shortlist should be 3.2, 3.0 CDTi, 2.0 T, 1.9 (150) CDTi, 2.2 Direct and 2.2 DTi
All adequate and quite different.
i just had a look around the site @ 1.9(150) cdti, and everyone says the same, how good it is on fuel and power.
Next step ,do i px mine or private sale???
Spent nearly £2500 + on all the mods and Ice, Now do i really want to start all over again???????
are, but tony he did say 3.0 cdti aswell which i get
41mpg @ 70mph
37mpg @ 90mph
which is not bad
but for that extra poke get SRI 3.0CDTi and mpg

I do agree with you there m8 as i almost bought a 3.0 CDTi before i settled on mine. It was the extra 10mpg and not a vast difference in performance that swung it.....Originally Posted by ian_c
