    Default ECOService or ECOFlex

I don't think my vec (2004, 2.0T) is set to use the ECOFlex servicing as I dont get a mileage displayed till the next service (even when i press the stalk in). The handbook does say this car is ECOFlex though.

I saw in another thread that somebody else has a 2.0T that is using the ECOFlex - is there someway to swap between hte service schedules?

If so I'm presuming it will have to done at a Vx dealers (tech2?)

Also just another quickie - the handbook has confused me about locking and arming the car as it mentions pressing the lock button on the key fob twice to enable the alarm and security functions. Is this right?
I always thought that a double press was to enable the deadlocks.

    TIA - Mark

Might have been me Mine is on ECOFlex - had it changed over from ECOService from when I bought it.

Basically all the cars came out of the factory on ECOFlex as standard. A lot of dealers would then switch them to ECOService before selling them - the only reason I can think is it would mean they would be guaranteed to see the cars sooner (annually) for a service, rather than the potential longer interval with ECOFLex. It's easily changed back to ECOFlex by the dealer with a Tech 2. You may want to time it so that it's done with a service so that it doesn't mess up your servicing schedule. I have my car serviced according to the ECOFlex indicator, but I also do an interim oil/filter change.

Think it may just be the wording in the handbook. Single press will lock all doors and arm the car. Double press, as you said, will then deadlock the doors.
