    Thumbs down DIS spark module problem ...

    Our Nov 2005 Signum 2.2 petrol has just been in for a new fuel pressure regulator and fuel pressure sensor ..... after waiting for the spares to (slowly) come in the Dealer has fitted the new bits. And then a phone call to say there is now a misfire on No 3 cylinder - which apparently was not there 10 days ago. Now they have to order up a new DIS module. I presume this is the coil pack - and do they have a track record of failing ?

    I'm beginning to wish I got a Hyundai with a 5 year warranty .... !!

    The coil pack gave up on my wife,s vectra b, they said it was common for them to pack up, so perhaps the Vectra "c" is the same for them giving up too.

    nope...not really...they are not a very common part to change at all..i think it's more like just bad luck..
