    Default Ssshhmoking

    Guys,

I've had THE box on for a couple of weeks now..... I take it the smoking is normal? I'm sure I've read on here not to worry too much, its an oil burner after all, but I keep peeping in my rear view to see the car I left behind, but cant quite make it out through the schmoke.

OK, so thats a slight exaguration, it doesn't smoke that much, but when I boot it I do notice a bit of grey/blue smoke in the rear view, also a bit when I get the revs too low....

If I drive it "normally" I dont see anything. But then if I wanted a car to drive "normally" I would've got a mondeo.

Smoking means over fuelling matey, and over fuelling means less power. Try turning the box down a bit and see the difference.

The Caterman box is non-adjustable. If the smoke is pretty bad (thick black garbage), I'd get back to T-Tuning about it.
I think nearly all diesels give a slight puff of greyish smoke under hard acceleration, but it shouldn't be enough to see in the rear view mirrors.

It is only just enough to see in the mirror, certainly not "thick black garbage", but it is certainly enough to make the vehicle a few yards behind look "foggy" !!!

mine does exactly that, especially after a bit of gentle driving then plant your foot down.

    .... no smoke = no poke !
