    Default Accident - who's fault?

    Hi folks,

My dads' had an accident in his Astra mk2. (IT'S STILL A VAUXHALL)! LOL!

Anyhow long story short my dad was driving along a road which has two lanes, in the smae direction, my dad was in lane 2 and the other party was in lane one, he suddenly moved into the path of my dad and hit him on the nearside front (Wing and passenger door knackered)!

The third party refuses to admit liability insisting it's my dad's fault! As per Highway code i believe he crossed into the priority of my dad!

What would be your opinion, should i get a accident management company involved?

If you're involved in a collision, never admit liability, even if it is clearly your fault. Your insurance company will not be happy with you if you do admit it.

IMO, it is best for all parties to explain what happened and the insurance companies will do their own 'at fault' diagnosis.

If you say above is exactly what happened, then I would have thought that your dad was not really to blame.
Only question would be why the other guy was effectively under taking your dad's car?

I wouldn't get an accident management company in just yet, all it will do is cost you money. Wait for the insurance company report, and if you don't think it's right, then appeal / other

As above m8, let the insurances sort it out. That's what you pay them for
