~signum Fog Light Query..help!!~

I have a Signum elegance '04 plate that did'nt come with the addition of front fog lamps. I have now visited 5 Vauxhall Dealerships and each one has given me different information! Basically, they don't know!!

Firtsly, can the fog lamps be fitted straight to the Elegance front bumper without any modification? Is it simply a case of pull the existing surronds out and replace with new lamps/surrounds, etc? Also, are the Signums pre-wired for the fog lamps? I have also been advised that if I fit the fog lamps, the cars' computer needs to be adjusted which takes around an hour at £60!! Another dealership con.

Can anyone please help. Also, where are the cheapest places to get the lamps, surrrounds, internal swith, etc. Cheers.

If you check under the bumper mate you sgould be able to see/ feel any taped
up wiring where the fogs would go. I think if this is there then you should be able to fit them without too many problems.

Cheers mate. Are they Vauxhall dealer parts only or can I obtain them elsewhere? What about this issue with the computer needing re-setting? A dealer con?! Cheers.

If the elegance has rectangular fogs, you'll find them aplenty on e-bay. If they're round sri type..rare as rocking horse sh*t.

If you have no fogs at all, you will also need the interior switch panel for it, and it is this part that you will need to have TechII on to programme it to the car, it may also require a relay and as you have said, a different wiring loom if yours doesnt have the pre wiring.

the problem with fitting fog lights after factory is the wiring loom!
you will need this in order to programme them into the ecu
its because of the CANBUS system you need the new loom!
at work we have fitted 2 Astra,s with fog lamps with a cost of 100,s
its not an easy job
parts needed
fog lamps
bumper grilles
loom
relays
new switch
appox 2 hours to fit!
then re-programme

its not a cheep option to do after factory

Got a set of Signum round foglights (used) and chrome surrounds (new) sitting in my garage, was going to fit them to my Elite along with SRi front bumper. Now got an Irmscher spoiler and just got a quote for spraying and fitting so probably will not need the extra fogs.
Thinking about putting them on eBay but if anyone here wants them let me know as I would prefer them to go to a deserving cause.
Anyone got any idea how much I should ask for them?

I'm after a foglamp (mine lost a fight with the infamous badger). If you don't want to split, I'll buy both if the price is right. That'll leave you to sell the chrome surrounds for extra cash.
