Default Help! Can't get in the car!!

I think my key battery was going - it opened after being pressed a few times. So I changed it. only took a couple of seconds.

    Now my car won't open!!

I can open it using the key, but that will set alarm off and can't turn it off with key, so don't want to do that.

    Whats happened?
How can i get it fixed without the use of my car?

Open the car manually with the key, the alarm will go off, stick the key in the ignition and turn on, the alarm will go off.

    You're a star.
    It worked.

Plus, now the remote is working too.

    Hmmm weird.

I've only got 1 key too, so may have to tell the other half I need the new flip key

Yep, it will have resynchronized itself to the car when you put it in the ignition.

for anyone else reading this. If you key doesn't re-sync itself after this procedure do the following -

Unlock the car with the key in the door.
Place key in ignition, turn to position one on th eignition barrel.
Lock the car with the key in the ignition.
    All should be re-sync'd.
