Angry Slow Vx Spares delivery ?

It has just taken the local Vx dealer 7 working days - 9 total days - to get the fuel regulator and sensor parts in for my 05 reg Signum. I once waited for 2.5 weeks for some bits for the previous Omega I had. Just unlucky - or are Vx not very good on spares delivery these days ?

In my experience they can usually get a part with a day or so, but seem to only really stock parts which are a common failure/upgrade. If you want something more obscure (which might come from Germany) then you are in for a wait

Me too, only stuff that takes longer is normally abstract, for example a switch or some plastic part that rides in the bumper etc.

I ordered a part over the phone at 3pm yesterday, they said "not a stock part sir, we have to order it, give us a ring tomorrow". Rang them at 11am and the part was ready and waiting. The bit ordered was the rubber adjustable stop for the boot/hatch. the guy on the counter had not seen one before so I had to explain what it was and how to adjust it in great detail, He said "nice one, now I know what it's all about I can pass it on". It's refreshing to see he showed a bit interest in his job. SAAB City, London, E1.

Default Drop links - 4 days to get

Before the current fuel system problem, new drop links were needed at 19,000miles. I was not impressed a) that they failed at this low (and `caring' !!) mileage b) even for these parts it was 4 working days before thay came in ....

if it's a fastmoving part they normally keep reasonable stocks in..TBH, i buy a heck of a lot of spares off VX and it's very rare that they are short on stock..

I had to wait 11 days for an oil pump for my 1.8 from Germany so its not unusual.
