Angry Stealerships...warranty or no warranty, that is the question!

I bought my Vectra from a Skoda dealerships two weeks ago.

    A week ago I noticed the rear sprayer on the wash wiper isn't working, initial investigations on my part found that ;

    a) the front sprayers/wipers work fine
    b) it isn't the pump/motor as you can hear it when you pull the stalk
    b) the nozzle doesn't appear to be blocked
    c) investigation of the roof lining found a slight stain (that looks like a water mark) directly beneath where the aerial/sprayer housing is fitted
    d) the roof lining at the back was loose where someone has possibly been having a look

...rung the dealer this morning and it's booked in for a look on Monday, but she didn't think it would be covered by the 12 month warranty!

They sell a car which has a clear fault and its not covered! bah stealerships! lol

EDIT: Just rang JCT600 Vauxhall to ask what they thought and it would be £38 just to take the roof lining down for a look!

Quite common for the hose pipe to become disconnected. They'll just drop the lining and push it back on.

I might just reach for the torx screwdriver and have a look myself, just take off the two roof handles on either side and give it a gentle pull don't you?

Go in there and ask whatever happened to goodwill on their part for customers who they might want to keep come renewal time.

Some stern words will be said if it isn't covered by the warranty!

I would, two weeks and they are giving you the flick already, mind you I've noticed there seems to be some sort of only do what you have to going on with Skoda dealers myself.

Well it's not a case of a 'wear and tear' problem that they usually wriggle out of the warranty on, it's a clear fault which in my opinion should have been noticed if they'd checked everything before the sale, they had it a week from when I bought it until I picked it up.

One other thing is bugging me too, when I first saw it there was just under 37000 on the clock, this is also backed up as it's printed on the warranty documentation. When I picked it up a week later, there was nearer 39,500. How the f^ck can you do 2000 miles in a week? maybe I'm being paranoid.

My brother bought a Mondeo off a local Skoda dealer which they took as p/x. He had some trouble with it within the first few weeks and they couldn't do enough to put it right - I reakon that particular dealership would put Ford and Vauxhall to shame (even gave him a skoda courtesy car).

You'd think they would fix it FOC under warranty or not, seeing as you haven't had the car long. It's not like it would take long to do and probably doesn't even need a part !!

Yes this is what I'm hoping. With my experiences of Ford I have an inherent distrust of car dealerships, so maybe I am being unduely harsh! I shall report back on Monday once I've taken it down for them to look at
