    Default First taste of the bogie.

    Well, I've had it for three days now and done 500 miles in it already!

    So far;

    I love the way it sits on the road, I love the Handling, I love the performance, I love it's cruising comfort, I love the CD70 Stereo / Sat nav and the colour and wheels combo really does look the business.

    However. There are one or two niggles, not the cars fault at all.

    Locking wheel nut key sat on the salesmans desk;

    Temperature gague. Doesn't sit at a temp like the old tractor, fluctuates between 75 and 90 degrees. Going down a long downhill stretch earlier and coasting in 6th for basically near on a mile and a half, the needle was only just above stone cold.

    It's ex Vx management, has now covered 5000 miles. I noticed last night while giving the alloys a good clean and polish, that the OSF tyre has over 1/2 the tread depth missing compared to the others, I also noticed the weight rating on three out of four is 87, not 91, as I believe it should be.

    It wasn't serviced before being released to me, which I thought they all were as part of Network Q.

    I had to put 3/4 of a litre of oil in it after 250 miles as the warning light came on. Luckilly, I had made a decision to buy a litre of oil when I picked the car up, reasoning it was still running in, so best to be safe than sorry, especially if it meant needing some in a hurry, like earlier.

    So, it's back to the dealers on Saturday morning, We'll see how they choose to handle it!

    You know the man to deal with Andrew.... he was very helpful over Mrs GSi's old blue one..

    aim straight for the top.. and say hello to him from us will you..

    :EDIT: and BTW, they don't automatically service them..they look at the mileage and decide if it's needing an oilchange or not..so with 5,000 on they will have prob said that as it's only 1/2 way to it's 10,000 interval ( DPF don't forget) that they'll leave it..The 1.9 we had from there was servive (9,000 miles) but neither of mrs GSi's car had been serviced as they where mid interval..

    Update;

    Car's been serviced by the supplying dealer at no cost, along with a recall for the injectors and DPF.

    Locking wheel nut key and car have been reunited,

    Dealer Principal is looking into the tyre issue personally, says either way, it will be resolved.

    Had a chat about the few niggles, he was interested and sincere. What a nice change to find a dealer who is actually interested.

    So, all in all, hard not to recommend them.

    Well done Bellingers of Wantage. So far so (very) good. Will be looking after future servicing and maintenance as a result.
