    Default Selling Price Advice

Hi ya peeps, I'm after some brutally honest advice about the price I'm after selling my car for. Once I find the right car I'll be firstly putting the Vec up for sale. If it doesn't seel it'll be stripped back to standard and sold as a standard car.

    It's a 2004 SRi 1.9 CDTi 150
    Approaching 65,000 miles.
    MOT'd until June 2008
    Taxed until end of Nov

For full spec see here - http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10015

I'm thinking of asking £7999 for her. What's the opinions of everyone here please? Too high or about right? Be honest peeps.

Being absolutely honest now, The Market is flooded with bog standard Very good condition SRi's, and they struggle to sell them, so i think you will struggle to sell your modified one, I know if i was looking for a new car, i wouldnt buy one that had been modded,

I would probably put back to standard as much as possible, and see what happens then.

Can you Part Exchange it on your next car??

Thanks for you honesty dude, much appreciated. To be honest I was thinking the same as you with regards a modified car not selling to joe public.

Looks like it's back to standard then.

if its any help Alex .....i bought my car privately last june with no mods just the snowflakes and being tinted...it had 8 months tax and only 20.000 miles on the clock ...first reg june 04 for £7.600. so personally i think your aiming a bit high.maybe better as you say stripping bk and selling parts ...then aimng for a lower price............but i must add its a stunning car.so could be worth a little gamble to start to see if someone out there might want a modded car as they cant be bothered to do the work

Definitely strip her down and sell off as standard matey. Just been down that road ourselves, it's gonna be the only way. (Or don't sell her )
