Back in a V6 !!!!!!!!!!!! And lovin it !!!
yeah
Just watched the TG review again, and I just cannot understand his negativity towards the Vectra, I'd like to blame his poor driving ability, but tbh he isn't a bad driver, he blames the chassis, but you could also say if it isn't lined up for the corner then it will be all over the place, he contradicts himself also, one min he's saying it isn't very exciting, then says *a 160 mph Vectra* how can any car at 160 mph not be exciting? it beats the Mazda easily and absolutely slaughters the Mondeo, which imo doesn't handle that well at all, I think he totally misses the point of a Vectra is set up to cruise the motorway 75% of the time in comfort, rather than a Mondeo which just has plain hard suspension set up on it and will drill your head after 40 miles or so, only one car company in the repmobile class manages to have really good suspension and comfort all rolled in to one and that's Peugeot, my Skoda is awful it rolls and wants to drift, I imagine the VW it's based on is the same, but what does JC say about them? nothing negative at all, I sat in a VRS this week, it was absolutely cheap inside, yet the VXR has fantastic seats, and the upper Vec's all look nice at night when illuminations are on inside, getting back to the steering on the VXR test, if once it became obvious didn't he back off the throttle and let the tyre get it back down on the asphalt, doing it that way and using the sprint ability of the car would have given much better lap times as demo'd in the Soul Freak video link at the top, notice how the driver allows the car to enter the bend before slamming it out on exit, you don't need the throttle hard down in a corner if you arrive and brake at the right time, when you need it most is coming out, anyway, 5th fastest saloon in the world for 21k and it's no good cos it wont turn in if you turn off the TC and hold the throttle hard down, big deal!! notice they didn't test it with the TC on, might have made certain other cars look really stupid.
