    Default Rear bumper loose?

As Summer has finally arrived,I've been driving with the window down, and occasionally notice a "plasticky" rattle at low speed.Decided to check it out,so had a butchers under the car,and was surprised to notice that if I grab the plastic "skirt" under the rear number plate,it moves in and out about 1/2" to 1".It seems pretty firm at the sides but not so good in the middle. It looks like it's only held by two clips that slot into the bumper. Can't see where the bumper is fixed to,cause this is moving in and out with the skirt.Checked my neighbours Fiat and his is rock solid! Is it just a Vauxhall thing or am I missing some fixings? It a 52 plate 1.8 Elegance.
    Any help much appreciated,
    Pete.

You're not alone - Both SRi's i've had have suffered from this,if you tap the bumper by the numberplate it rattles against the metal crash bar thats behind the bumper

Found that the two large clips never stay in the bumper on their own so on both cars i hot glued them them in place and that seemed to do the trick

Cheers Stig,Can't believe that Vauxhall thought that two plastic clips is enough to secure it!Then again after seeing my Stepsons plastic to metal gear linkage on his Corsa.maybe they did!Might try your fix.Thanks.
