    confused Traction controll button

Just been and picked up a switch able traction control button and fitted it after finding the blue plug behind the blank switch under the alarm button thing is when i press the switch in it doesent light up but it does when i switch lights on,is this normal? Also while collecting the switch had a look at a few veccys and saw an 05 with a flat R badge on the door where you would normally find sri or elite or the likes what does it stand for?

it's perfectly normal for the TC switch to behave like that when it's fitted to a car that doesn't have TC....

I thought all Vecs had TC, is this not true?
If the TC switch does not work that does not mean you dont have TC, it means the plug is not connected or such.....I think

On the pre facelift unless asked for in manurfacture all Vectra,s did have traction control, I belive, but the switch was fitted to some varient of models, but not all in the same range, [don,t know why though], so a lot of us me included bought the switch in the hope that it would switch off the Traction Control, [ up to a speed of 40mph, then it would automaticaly cut back in], some of us that fitted the switch were lucky and it worked, or like me it did not work.

I guess they disabeled the TC switch feature for safety issues.
