Default Slightly uneven idle when aircon is switched on?

Noticed this since I've had the car (before box!)
Really nitpicking here I must add. As soon as I switch the aircon on, the idle becomes just slightly lumpy - and a little bit more likely to stall. It is certainly related, because as soon as a/c is switched off, it idles silky smooth again!
Haven't stalled it yet, but I need to give it some extra revs sometimes to pull away.
    Any thoughts?

totally normal.. the extra load imposed on the engine by the AC Compressor causes the revs to dip, what you cxan hear is the ECU raising the idle speed to compensate and then just fluctuating the idle to keep it around the correct idle speed.

    all perfectly normal

If you put all the lights on and the heated screen it would have the same effect, it is all the electrical drain causeing the alternator working hard that slow,s down the engine.
