Need to know a few things??

Ok guys i will have a Vectra 1,9 CDTI SRI soon (hopefully!!) is there anything i should look out for when looking at one? What are the bad points on a vectra?? 2004 reg

I would make sure that the aircon is blowing cold, not a specific 1.9 fault but the aircon on vectras aint the best and a re-gas is better than a compressor so give it a check.

ok cheers for that. What about performance though?? A SRI CDTI 150BHP,can it really be remapped to a 200BHP machine??

it can.. but there have been folks having issues wiith stretching the power of the CDTi...if you have to have a reliable 200BHP, get a petrol...if you need economy get the diesel.. if you mix the 2 then hopefully you'll be okay, but i'd be a liar to tell you it's the best thing you can do to your 1.9 CDTi..

Thanks for that! Its got to be a diesel at the end of the day! I would be happy with a 150BHP SRI..A petrol SRI might be a bit heavy on juice..

a standard 150 isn't a slouch.. so any more is just extra stress on an overstressed engine anyway...
