    Default Wheel Paint.

A mate of mine has a Vectra B GSi, with standard wheels, and when they are clean, the wheels seem to sparkle, and have an exceptional shine to them.

Mine on the other hand, when clean, are pretty dull and flat, and dont really shine at all.

Does anyone know if there is any way to find out what Colour VX painted the whels on the GSi Vectra B's from the factory, as it is a different Silver to mine, and as i am having the wheels refurb'd in the next 2 weeks, i want to make sure i get the clour i want on them.

Unless anyone has any other idea's?

I was actually toying with the idea of having them done in Black or Anthracite, as i thought on a black car it might look good.

The only down side is, that once they are done, there aint any going back, so if i dont like them, its tough!

They look pretty damn good Rob, i like the colour.

My problem is the previous owner liked to ride kerb's, so the edges need doing too, or i could be tempted to have a go myself.

Those wheels were well & truly kirbed mate, I followed a how2 on vvoc and used metalic filler and very fine wet & dry. As they were an extra set of wheels there was no rush but I was delighted with the results. Looked like brand new wheels - I kept em when I traded the Vectra, so a nice set of 17" Momo's in my garage for winter use. Handy when cleaning the wheels - they are exact size of the Astra sporthatch std fit wheels so I have one in the boot as a spare. I even refurbed a set of old VX twinblades off a vectra B and posted some pics on VVOC - I cant get onto the site anymore - must have been blocked for my constant sarcasm and abuse.
