Default Signum Rear Bumper? Shall I show my PIPES?

    Hi Guys,

I've got a Siggy 3.2 Elite, which has a plain black valance at the base of the rear bumper - I know these black valances are interchangeble....... How easy are they to do? and Will the twin piped 2.0t rear valance be suitable (do the exhausts exit the same location) knowing well that I'd have to trim off the tail piece to add stainless ones!

    Any suggestions?

I just ordered some exhaust tips... stainless....I will have to trim the skirt a little to fit them...I want to show them off ....and then color code the skirt.
For you that live there you can change the skirt for one ready for a dual exit exhaust
In my case the tips need to be soldered, I might guess that you can buy some clamp on type if you dont want deal with soldering.

Yes, you should do it, it looks much better! Did it on my 2.0T Elite.

Valance is the same for all models so your pipes will exit in the correct place. On mine I changed it for the facelift version to have the extra colour coding.

    Duncan,

did you have to replace the whole bumper or were you able to un-clip the black valance and replace with face-lift version (then colour code)?

The lower valance works out about £33 from my local VX dealer -are they easy to fit?

    Vehicle : Signum

    Trim : Elite

Very easy to fit, the lower valance just clips on to the existing bumper. (the same as your existing valance) Removing the pre-facelift valance was a bit of a nightmare but with a little care and a lot of brute-force it can be removed and replaced

As above, both pre-facelift and facelift versions just clip and unclip. As Richard said, they need a bit of a tug (ooer missus) but nothing major. Facelift version is just a straight swap for the pre-facelift one.

I just did this mod to my signum, just bought the lower rear valance from vauxhall with the twin oval exhaust holes, then found a second hand twin oval exhaust back box off a 3.0 V6 CDTi Signum, fitted the trim first, then dropped the old single exit exhaust, then fitted on the new exhaust with twin tailpipes, sits perfectly after a new mounting was welded into place to support the other rear silencer. Looks fab!
