    Default Air Quality Sensor

Hi All, I guess this one goes out to the GSi or Elite owners, not sure if any other models were fitted with the dual zone climate control? Anyway, i was reading the manual today and discovered that on the cliamte control menu, i should be able to select or deselect whether i want the air quality sensor on or off. Now when i was looking at buying my GSi i drove another one and that had the option, but mine doesn't.

Does anyone else have or not have the air quality sensor option, maybe it was only between certain production dates??

    Mines a 2004 53 Reg.

    Cheers

    Russ

I've got it on my 03 Signum Elite. Probably doesn't really help you does it?!

Hmmm.... I feel robbed, i wonder if it could be always on??

Do you think it may be as simple as pluggin it to a tech 2 and reprogramming the functions.

I feel a trip to the dealers is in the pipeline!

My 2003 Australian Vectra has one, but I think they took it out for the 2004 model.

It's an air quality sensor to detect harmful gases in the outside air (e.g. exhaust fumes when sat in a queue), in which case it will switch automatically to recirculation mode.

In that case then, No they don't all have it fitted. Mine has never changed mode whilst in use..

The models that have it fitted should display a checkbox labelled something like "Air Quality Sensor". It's definitely not just a Tech 2 option, there's a pollutant sensor that needs to be fitted for this feature to work. I saw somewhere that these are the sensors fitted: http://www.paragon-online.de/en/reso...t_Englisch.pdf

stevedee3, what model do you have?

Does the Air Sensor option in your Veccy show up in the Climate A/C menu on the screen as I have never seen it. I have a Jan 05 model CDXi

Yep, it show up on the same screen as the one with air distribution and the checkbox for turning the A/C compressor on/off.

As I said, I think Holden deleted it from MY2004 (to save money I guess).

But I'm guessing you get all these thing that I don't have:
    1. Electric/memory seats
    2. Rain sensing wipers
    3. Curtain airbags
    4. Automatic headlamps
    5. Automatic rear-view mirror dipping
