    Question BC/Trip Computer

It's a week since I picked up my Vectra, and with a weeks work and various other trips I've used a tank of the black stuff.

The BC (what on earth does that stand for anyway lol) said I had 48 miles left in the tank but the fuel light came on? Is it known for its accuracy?!

errmm it's a bit conservative...the GSi says it needs refilling and has zero range, but it still has about 5 litres in the tank......so no, it's not the best..

...I thought that myself, didn't fancy running out of fuel by believing the computer! Must confess though I am very impressed with the consumption of my 2.2DTi SRi!

so's my old V6 cav.. 225,000 and it's still not burning oil or using water....

i'd have it back and restore it but Mrs GSi would cut off my vitals with a blunt teaspoon

I think his has about 120,000... failed it's MOT today as it needed some welding doing so he's not too thrilled. Keeps going into limp mode too he says, but he reckons its a fault with the TOAD immobiliser install.

...don't think so mate, think his is the manual. It's white, not a bad looking motor really, haven't been in it though.

manual...try the camshaft/crankshaft sensors ..if they give poor readings or get out of phase it'll cut the power..
