    Default mods and trade in price

    how do any mods you have done reflect in the price offered at trade in, when i got mine it was the bog standard exclusiv, but now is nothing like

    mods will if anything devalue you car come trade in time,

    best putting it back to standard if u can.

    to be honest mate i dont think the mods make much of a difference, most garages/dealers go on book prices, so the best thing to do is when you trade your car in take as much off as possible and get it back to standard.

    yep, standard cars always make better money.....they are harder to trade in but always seem to sell better on forecourts..

    wheni say mods i didnt realy mean bits from halfords you put on your self
    i meant vxr side skirts, rear spoiler, new sri rear bumper with vxr insert, twin exhaust conversion, full bilstein suspension setup, big 314 mm brakes, irmy front grill and front lower splitter vxr copy 18" wheels etc {and a remap ssshhhhhhh }

    at best, even with all those mods..., the best money you'll make is slightly behind book..traders are cautious of modded cars..

    tis true wot mark says

    when i was looking at vecs i didnt go anywhere near modded ones as they suggest theve had a good racing.
    even thou most will have been looked after vwell but u just cant take that chance.
    if u still have your original parts then i would put em back on u cant remove the spoiler coz of the screw holes.

    the best you could do is sell it private through a specialist mag like total vauxhall/revs/maxpower probebly get more for it doing it that way.
