Help - Company Car

Hi All,

Just joined this great website. lots of good pics, mods and info etc....

Only passed my test in Feb (4th time lucky) and landed a 52 plate 2.0TDi LS vectra, great lookin and performing car, luv it to bits cant believe i've landed such a cool car as my first everybody i know gets corsa's etc... Woooooo Hooooooooo

But need help as to how i can make it look a bit better without moding it to much just to give it an edge over others,

plus is there any thing not so drasatic a can do to make to perform better.

K&N airfilter + airbox mod. You could go for a tuning box but they dont do plug and play for the Dti's so you will have to wire it in

and is this the air filter you where talkin about, is it easy to install or should i consult a mechanic

if you click on the thread above, that is what was mentioned. i assume your airbox is the same as its a CDTI engine shown.

engine looks the same from here, that looks easy peazy, how much are they (on ave) and wot do they do to the car........

if you do a search on k&n filter (top right of page) there are zillions of posts on the subject.

whether it gives more power or just noise and whether a k&n lets in more rubbish into the engine. there are hours of reading on the subject.

there is also a how 2 section (you can get to it from the bottom of the page) which tells you to do most simple jobs.

most of your questions will have been asked before so just search and you will probably find all your answers if not you can ask. someone will know.

your filter box is slightly different to the one shown in that thread. But its stilll a doddle to do. Just undo the torx screws. And remove the lid. Take old filter out then put new one in. Simple.

Your airbox should be same as mine.

do you know anything about the clutch in my car, its costing over a grand for it, something to do with a duel mass fly wheel or something,

the works concidering getting another car instead but i want to keep the vectra incase i end up with a mondeo or some ****
