Default Recommendation for all you 1.8 owners

I have spent £80 on the Veccy today.....and its the most worthwhile amount of money i have EVER spent on the car!!!

Its a 1.8 vectra here are the 2 items i changed:

    1) Replaced the air filter with a K&N panel filter(£43)
All the flat spots are gone, response is so much better.

    2) Replaced oil for 5w 30 fully synthetic (£36) the engine is now practically silent! so much smoother even at 90mph its sooo quiet

go out and try it you will not be disapointed

totally agree with you there, but theres one more thing to give it better acceleration, the air induction pipe is fed directly above a very hot radiator, hot air is used in the combustion process,REMOVE the little pipe that joins the air box to the induction pipe and this will draw cold more dense air into the cylinders making the combustion much more rapid, you can really feel the difference, also you get a degree af audiable induction roar, nice

ummm.....surely if you do that, instead of getting a bit of cool air from the front of the car, you'll get nothing but hot air from the engine bay?
