    Thumbs down So Angry!



    Took my Signum to the Local VX Dealers this morning to complete Part 2 of this thread:

    * Fitment of new EGR Valve
    * Replacement of Fuel Sender

    I was greeted by the rudest Service desk assistant - who was cocky and quite offensive - trying to contradict my every sentence with a wise crack. I mentioned that the Boot was loose/ rattling and could be heard above the Stereo & as I understood from my Network Q pack - was covered under Warranty also. He tried to argue that is wasn't - I kept my cool and walked away (Being the operative word as no Courtesy Car was avail for 3 weeks!!) Walked 3 miles to a Bus Station & got a bus Home - Fuming.

    So - Rang VX Customer Care Dept - Got a case no & when I go to pick up the car hopefully tnite - I want to sit down with the Service Manager & give him the case no & explain how disappointed I am with the level of service.

    I know all dealers are not as bad - but it sure does put me off buying another VX - as I change my car every 18months - they will lose out on a sale. Buying the car was excellent from a Manchester Dealer & if they were nearer I would use them for the Warranty Works....

    Sorry to hear this mate, But it goes to show how the quality of service and care between Vx dealers can vary. With mine they are always nice and polite whilst taking yer money! Isnt there another Vx dealer near you you can use?

    It is sad when you get bad service like that it give,s all the good dealers a bad name too.I would try somewhere else if it is atall posible, but you did the right thing to complain to VX they might do something after all it is their reputation too.

    I have tried to give the dealer benefit of the doubt as I know they are busy and that they probably put up with alot of moaners etc on a daily basis.

    I agree with using another dealer - just means travelling 40miles to the dealer who I purchased the car from. I could adjust the Boot myself (Providing the Hinges are OK) but I dont see why I should - after all that's why VX offer a Warranty (Even Network Q cars).

    Thats no reason to excuse them, at all times they should be polite and helpful - despite what may be going through their minds!

    It sounds as if the problem is not necessarily with the dealership itself but with that particular member of staff, make sure the service manager knows which member "served" you this morning.

    I agree with that too -

    The guy from today was just as unhelpful as the 1st Warranty visit too...

    I didnt kick up too much of a fuss as:

    * God knows what they would/ could do to my car whilst it is in the hands of the dealer.
    * I wanted to get my facts straight before returning to see the Dealer.

    Like I said - will get todays work done - then pay a visit to the original seller/ dealer (Pentagon - Well Recommended) for the other issue.

    P.S - I know that other Manufacturers can be just as bad not just VX so I have to be impartial in my rantings!

    I had problems with my service manager !He was a bit of a" billy liar"!He no longer works there now!
    I made a few complaints to vauxhall customer care about the service that they
    forked out for my first service.Wouldn't off expected anything less considering all the problems i have had since i bought the car!Now it has been diagnosed with a faulty EGR valve .this is now no.3.that was 2 weeks ago and they still dont have the part!(any wonder i drink so much)


    Does all vectras have these problems or have i got a friday afternoon built car??
