Yes it does... I noticed this at Oulton Park BTCC day... its really weird. My car has the proper BTCC rear diffuser and the BTCC Car has the VXR Diffuser ??? Figure that one out...

And the car in the picture is just like the genuine BTCC car, not just a media mockup.

If its the same car as I saw on the stand at Thruxton earlier this year, I believe it is a mock up. If memory serves it was the car that was presented as the prefaclift saloon diesel concept at the motorshow in around 2004 which as modified to facelift hatch and became the mock up at the Autosport show this year to give a taster of the 07 btcc car and further modified for the show car at the btcc rounds this year. I took pics of it at autosport and noticed the front splitter was the same as the one on the 04 diesel prefacelift. (how anal is that lol)

Cos they were the auto-test cars.. never got out of 1st gear (except reverse), so no point wrecking a full blown VXR.

They just let us wreck the 'design' model instead...
