    Default Identifying Models

    Hi all,

Saw a fully liveried police vectra the other day and I noticed it had twin exhausts, so I thought Oooooh PC Plod's got a 2.0T, then I realised that the 2.8T V6 also has 2 pipes . Just to check as I'm the inquisitive sort, does anyone have a definitive list of which models have the dual & which ones have the single. Sheesh, I wish vauxhall would just go back to sticking badges on!!

    Jim.

It could have been a 2.8TV6, and 2.2 Direct, a 2.0 Turbo, a 3.0 CDTI V6 or a 3.2V6. All depends on the model year and the role the vehicle is being used for.

    Twin exhaust models are:
    2.0t, 2.2 direct, 2.8V6 turbo/ 3.2V6 (pre facelift), 3.0V6 cdti

Its 99% certain to be one of the V6 models.

Round this area they use the 3.2 (pre f/l) and 2.8V6 turbo (f/l) but i know of some forces that use the V6 cdti.

Wow, speedy reply Jamie. I think it was a late model so that rules out the 3.2 V6 I think, wasn't smoking so I doubt it was a diesel . Do the 2.8T's have a single eliptical either side (like my 2.0T) or do they have a twin exit either side (like I believe the GSi has)?

The V6CDTi doesn't smoke and there are quite a few of them down your way.

Wow, speedy too pricey. Think it was a Thames Valley one, seen in Milton Keynes going onto the A5.

Standard GSI has the same as your 2.0T, single pipe each side.

All twin exit sport pipes are visibly identical (excluding the vxr), so your 2.0t twin will look the same as the 2.8V6 turbo twin on the police spec models.
