    Default Warranty Works

If anyone was interested in the Warranty Works warranty this may interest you.

I contacted them concerning the service every 6 months/6000m requirement.

Could be interested in your warranty, just something doesn't seem right.

    in the Q&A its states:

Q Does the car have to have a full service history?
A If you have a full service history that's great. But not all cars
come with their service records, so what we say is that if there is no
service history then for your own peace of mind the car should be
serviced when you buy it. The supplying garage should do this FOC and
should show it on their invoice.
After that point the car must be serviced in accordance with the
    manufacturer?s recommended service requirements.

but in the booklet it states:

If Your Vehicle does NOT have a service
book detailing a full service history from new
You will be required to have Your Vehicle
serviced by a VAT registered garage 6
months or 6,000 miles from the date of or
mileage at purchase, whichever is the
sooner. Thereafter, You must continue to
have Your Vehicle serviced at intervals of 6
months or 6,000 miles, whichever is the
sooner. For completion of a service We allow
a maximum of 1,000 miles or 4 weeks leeway
on either side of the stipulated time,
    whichever occurs first.

so which is it? manufacturer?s recommended service requirements or
    EVERY 6 months 6000 Miles?

    and the reply was:

Many thanks for your email and for your interest in our products.

I can confirm that after the warranty is taken out, that the vehicle must be
serviced at the correct times / mileages in accordance with the
manufacturer's recommendations and NOT every 6 months or 6,000 miles. We are
getting the warranty books re-printed without this 6/6 stipulation in it and
can confirm that the web site information is therefore correct. (We have
been supplied "generic" warranty books from the underwriters until our new
    books are ready.)

    Kind Regards

Hope this is of use to some

They seemed so helpful that i also asked:

What is classed as a Full Service History? Is a Stamped book ok or
    must it be receipts?

    and the fast reply:

With regards to your question we are not interested in any service
history prior to the warranty being taken out, however after the cover
starts, you must keep to the manufacturer's intervals and keep these
invoices as proof. It would be helpfull if the warranty book and service
book were stamped up recording this information, but it is not a condition
that would negate the cover as long as you keep the actual invoice(s)
    themselves.

I trust that the above is satisfactory, however should you have any further
queries then please do not hesitate to contact me direct.
