Default Anyone see Anglia TV last night?

After seeing an awful lot of people suffering due to the floods, and seeing how adversity brings the best out in some people I was watching our regional news. First article is on localish flooding which is pretty limited but obviously horrible for those affected.

Second article is about disabled parking spaces at shopping centres and supermarkets, and how they are being abused. Firstly by fake or out of date blue badges, secondly a very heavily pregnant woman who couldn't get into a family space and was very apologetic.....

    but lastly by............

    wait for it

Three chavvy little scumbags in a beat up fiesta and the mouthiest of the three shouts out...

    I'll park where I want

    I'll do what I want

    Cos i'm a gipsy.

(Where is the gunsight on the remote control when you need it!)

Why go to the trouble of being a racist when there are people like that who you can hate for good reason?

Well said that man. I have the same problem, when i've got the kids in the car and try to park in the 'with kids' spaces. 4x4 drivers seem to think that means they are for them. And i've seen many a disabled driver pleading with non disabled drivers to move. I've even stepped in to help sometimes, but for the hassle and the grief you get............Is it worth it? Sad, but true

I saw it and was convinced that they were at Tesco Thurrock. No one who is disabled can park there because of all the chavved up Novas, Saxos, Beemers, etc. taking up the spaces.

Winds me up a treat - but unless you fancy wearing a baseball bat in the face and going for some expensive dental work you can't say anything. The supermarkets won't clamp the little b@st@rds in case they lose some business.

I had some sympathy for the heavily pregnant lady though - she looked really uncomfortable.

P.S. If anyone is into sailing, the boat on the left is reluctantly for sale - picking up the new boat at the weekend so look for a new avatar soon

I wonder if a couple of spaces were marked up "******s only" how much use they would get?

The supermarkets should tow them or use a private clamping company.
These spaces are for those who need them.
People will soon learn. Will it lose them any business? I doubt it.
Will it make the punters happier? I think so.

If it was Tesco at Thurrock, then its the good old double standards again!!!

They have, and will clamp a Truck who so much as parks near there to go to a cashpoint(I speak from experience here), less than 5 mnutes, but they let to barstewards like these park in places that they are not allowed!!!

    It peeees me right off!

Unfortunately, they are not breaking any law, either road traffic or parking offences.

It some time ****es me off, when the only parking spaces available are the disabled, and then you get funny looks for parking in them.

On the other hand, I see disabled people getting preferential treatment all the time. That's not good either.
Eg, why could I not be served by 'customer services' at Asda right after a user was served with a similar number of items and large queues at all the tills?? I was discriminated against becasue i was able bodied

I wouldn't want to be a user though.
