spanner light on after service.

hi there all.
i've got a veccy c 2.2 sri petrol.
after having a service the spanner [service light] still shows every time i start the car.
have tried to re-set it by holding the re-set knob and turning on the ignition but no luck.
any one know how to re-set it or is it telling me that i've got a fault?

just take it back to the place that did the service and tell them to re-set it for you mate

did take it back to the garage.
they checked the book on how to set the light but had no luck.
thats why i'm asking some one here who might know more about the light.

AAhhh.. now is it the car with an oilcan symbol our the car with a spanner symbol you're getting, as i wonder if you're getting a little confused here?

Car with oilcan is the service indicator

Car with the spanner is a fault warning light and won't be reset by you without powering down the ecu's..

Which one is it??..
